The Department of Chemical Engineering is proud to organize and host Petrophase 2018 from July 8 – 12 at the Chateaux at Deer Valley, Utah.
This international conference brings engineers and scientists from all over the world to discuss the latest research in petroleum properties, characterization, phase behavior and upgrading. Professionals from industry, academia and students will discuss applications in flow assurance (preventing problems in oil pipelines), emulsions, shale oil and gas in addition to fundamental methods in characterization and properties measurements.
University of Utah chemical engineering assistant professor Michael Hoepfner is the chair of the organizing committee. Chemical Engineering Chair Milind Deo is the co-chair, and chemical engineering professor Jules Magda is one of the technical co-chairs.
