The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering is seek to hire exceptional candidates as assistant professors, with higher levels also considered. Candidates with interests in all research areas will be considered and applications are particularly encouraged in bio-related areas.
The Department currently has 21 full-time faculty (two joint with Chemistry), 114 graduate students, nearly 20 postdoctoral fellows, and 416 undergraduates. The faculty are dedicated to both research and education, and the Department is characterized by collaboration involving students, faculty, and other departments. For example, nearly 100 undergraduate students participated in faculty-directed research in the past year.
